Merry Christmas Everyone!

The ups, downs, and arounds as my new role of an Army Wife

Okay, go ahead and scold me, but I leave the tv on. I can’t stand to not have SOMETHING on, and tv is the easiest option. Most of time time it’s on a kid-friendly channel, so I’ve seen just about every cartoon out. It’s an understatement to say that cartoons have changed since I was a kid, and even more since cartoons came out. From the innocent racism and violence of Bugs Bunny, to the sheer grossness of Ed Edd n Eddy, to the ‘educational’ shows that are now out. So, I decided to list out my top five favorites, and five LEAST favorites out there: (Unless one slips my mind, that is)
First, let me give a quick update on the deployment. We decided not to take Kyle. It was a 6+ hour drive, and he tends to get car sick on long drives. Not to mention no toddler wants to sit in a car for that long, and it was way too emotional of a drive for me to have to deal with a fussy toddler. So, Eric had to say his goodbyes to his son at my grammas. What a hard goodbye that was for him.
With the full family anyway.
Tomorrow I leave to make the hardest trip I’ve probably ever made. Since the place I am taking him is like 7 hours away, We’re leaving Kyle here with my gramma, so this is Kyle’s last day with daddy before deployment. I will get to spend Tuesday night with him before coming home on Wednesday and leaving him in the army’s hands V.V
This is why I haven’t been blogging much, I’m trying my hardest to hide my emotions and stay strong, and even just typing this is making it harder. So this isn’t going to be a long one. I will let you know how it goes when I get home Wednesday. Please, please wish me luck, and pray for us.
Everyone knows everyone has different tastes. And, boy, do I have my own. But I feel like there are some things EVERYONE likes/loves and I just… don’t. You may hate me after this, but here are a few of them:
So, a few days late and a few dollars short, sorry. That’s the life of a sick woman, I guess. So, here is how our Halloween went :D
You’ll have to excuse my rough lookingness, by this time I was almost passed out in pain and sick :( But everyone absolutely looooved our costumes. Totally worth all the trouble I went through to get them!
Kyle had so much daggoned fun. He was psyched up about Halloween from watching all the cartoons on tv about trick-or-treating. We had practiced all morning. He would hand me his bucket, say “Trick or treat!”, I’d give him ‘candy’ and he would say thank you. He had it in the bag. Read the rest of this entry »
Ohhhh I hate to be sick. I’m the worst sick person ever. Sunday was the worst, I just laid on the couch all day writhing around in pain and crying and moaning. Yesterday I loaded up on pain pills so I could enjoy Halloween with the chitlin, but ended up going to the hospital last night. Strep Throat. Yummy. It’s horrible. They started me on some antibiotic last night, but didn’t give me anything for the horrible pain all over my body… Lame. Read the rest of this entry »
Ahhh, Wal-Mart Layaway. What a super invention.
Eric has been itching to get Kyle’s Christmas buying started, obviously since he won’t be here after Thanksgiving to do all the big shopping, we plan on getting it done now. But since we’re not making a lot of money, we are taking advantage of Walmart Layaway. It takes a lot of sting out of the buying process too. Only 10% Isn’t that much, at alll. We got a leapfrog things, two games, a huge transformer, some writing thing for kyle, and Eric’s Christmas gift, put it on layaway, and after the $5 fee and 10% down, I think we spent less than 50. I can handle that. For gifts that are so expensive, anyway. I’m such a daggoned frugal Franny. So, here’s what we got.
I just started another blog, Since I didn’t want to throw this specific subject in your face:

Nothing special, just going to document my weight loss. I will post my weight every day, what I eat, etc. hopefully it will help keep me in check. If everyone sees my weight, I will be more likely to make it shrink :) Help me get skinny! The more people that see, the more I will want to lose! Woop Woop :) I’m linking it on my blogroll, too.
I’ve always been picked on. For freckles, glasses, pale skin, awkward speech, etc. But one thing I’ve never understood why I’ve been picked on: Holding my pinky up. Now, you’ve always seen the ones that hold it up while they drink.
